Another day ends and you haven’t written a word...

You look at your computer for exactly half a second before giving in to the siren call of your squishy couch and Netflix.

But you can’t shake the sad disappointment that you’ve gone another day giving yourself to everything and everyone, except your writing dreams.

Yup. I know how that feels. Netflix with a side dish of guilt and dying dreams. Just another day in the life.

If only you could find a Gandalf to push you out your front door on a life-changing writing adventure.

(Hey, where does one find a bearded-wizard-mentor these days anyway?)

If you did have a mentor, maybe she could:

  • Get you writing regularly and actually enjoying it.

  • Give you feedback on your words so you don’t chew your fingernails off every time you sit down to write because you aren’t sure if your words are any good.

  • Help you prioritize and take your writing dreams seriously so that even when your mentor isn’t around, you still write.

Introducing the Ink & Grace Writer Accountability and Coaching Program, a 6-week one-on-one program developed to get you started on your writing adventure - for real this time.

Together, we will drink coffee and fill up notebooks with writing ideas, chat about your dreams and your biggest roadblocks to writing, get out our red pencils and dig in to your words -- and build a writing habit that works for you while shutting out that debilitating self-doubt.

Here’s what you get with the 6-week Writer Accountability and Coaching Program:

  • Feedback/developmental editing on up to 2500 words per week, so you can write confidently and say farewell to overwhelming self-doubt.

  • Writing deadlines every week, so you can stop procrastinating and start forming that writing habit.

  • Three 1-on-1 coaching calls, so you can get some outside perspective and stop second-guessing yourself (plus get lots of ideas for your writing practice).

  • Weekly check-ins via email, so you can stop feeling alone on your writing journey and create a sustainable writing practice built on community.

PLUS, you also get:

  • Unlimited email support during the program.

  • A beautiful, hand-drawn writing affirmations poster for your writing space created by Lacelit.

  • A personal Writing Practice Blueprint created just for you -- so you can continue to write regularly after the program without losing any momentum.

Here's how it works:

Step 1: Sign up!

Sharpen those pencils, dust off your laptop, and commit to the journey.

I will contact you to schedule your coaching calls and send you your due dates.

Step 2: Write!

Each week, you send me up to 2500 words of what you’ve written for personalized feedback. We will chat over email and conference calls (and in the Facebook group!) about how your writing practice is going, where you are struggling and what support you need.

Step 3: Keep Writing!

Take your personalized Writing Practice Blueprint, the collection of words and stories you’ve written, and the new friendships you’ve formed, and go out into the world equipped with the habit and the hope you need to pursue your writing dreams every single day.

Enrollment is currently closed.

“This talent of a woman has been one of the best things that ever happened to my blog and my confidence. I used to refer to myself as a processor (not a writer) who just needed a space to say my thoughts aloud...Ashly has helped redefine my misconceptions about being a “true writer” and pushed me towards owning my passions and finding freedom in voice. I am forever grateful to have Ashly in my corner.”

6 weeks. 15, 000 words. That's 13 essays. 60 pages of your novel. 16 blog posts. A completed e-book. A huge step of progress toward your writing dream. Finally.

Meet your guide...

Hi, I'm Ashly. I wasted much of my life not believing in my writing and not taking my craft seriously. Now I want to make sure every writer who crosses my path is revitalized and reaffirmed in their craft and their writing dreams.

I spend my free time reading books about writing and also dragons, which makes me an ideal guide for writing quests. In fact, I’ve been a writer’s guide for over four years and love nothing more than sharing what I’ve learned about the written word with other writers.

I like chewy fruit candy and anything British. L.M. Montgomery is my hero. Also, in case you couldn’t tell from the ongoing LotR metaphor, I’m a full-on nerd; I love Doctor Who, Comic-Con, and those bumper stickers about how reading is sexy.

You've Got Q's? I've Got A's!

Why do I need a writing coach? Couldn’t I just attend a writing group?

Overall, I think you’ll be amazed what investing in your dream and having the support of a writing coach can do for your writing. It’s a vastly different experience from working with a writing group.

Writing groups provide a different type of feedback than a writing coach. First, the feedback you get in a writing group is typically based on the opinions of the other writers in the group, so the feedback you receive could vary widely. Additionally, while the other writers might be able to identify that there is a problem in your work, they might not be able to tell you how to fix the problem. Lastly, writing groups provide minimal accountability since you can cancel the group, make apologies for not bringing a draft, or never even sign up for a group in the first place.

I don’t think I have time for this?

Sheesh I hear you my friend. I didn’t have time for writing for years until one day I woke up and realized that the only day I’d ever be able to write was today. If I didn’t make time today, I’d never make time. I urge you to make time for it, if at all possible. Please note, however, that this isn’t an e-course, so to maximize your experience, you will need time to invest in writing regularly, reading the feedback on your writing, and interacting with your writing coach.

Do you offer refunds?

Prior to the start of the program you may request a full refund minus any payment processing fees, including any fees for refunding the money to you via a service such as Paypal. Once the program starts, it is nonrefundable.
